DIY Studio Built by Father and Son Proves the ideal Solution to Create More Space

When David wanted to build a poolside studio to extend the space in the family home, our backyard cabins proved ideal.

Set in an elevated position, our cabin looks right at home in the gorgeous tropical setting in Mount Gravatt, Queensland. With a bedroom, ensuite and living area complete with kitchenette, it provides a comfortable and self-sufficient studio retreat for David’s adult son, restoring space and harmony to the family home.

Situated on the Sunshine Coast in southern Queensland, our Sicilia Panorama 30 backyard cabin provides a comfortable, healthy, and peaceful space for students and teachers to enjoy their classes. This beautifully styled pool house allows Scott and Jennifer to enjoy their pool even when it is too cold to swim.

When they decided to build a poolside studio, Jennifer and Scott visited the local timber yard for supplies, and just happened to see our Crete backyard cabin on display. On close inspection, it was exactly the right size, was easy to construct and the solid timber look and feel perfectly matched what they had in mind.

Constructed just days before Christmas, this idyllic pool house was a hit with the family over the hot holiday break.

Installed on the Central Coast in just two days, our classic Crete design is the perfect choice for a poolside retreat. What’s more, because the cabin is only 10m² in size and is not used for living purposes, it was built without the need to obtain special permission from the local council.
