As we head into 2022, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on the past year—and be inspired by what we can achieve in the year ahead!

There’s no doubt the past 18 months were challenging at times as the global pandemic continued to disrupt the way we work and live. From home offices to luxury backyard retreats, our quality timber cabins and granny flats offered couples, families and retirees a smart, stylish and flexible way to adapt and expand their homes. With installations across Australia and New Zealand, we’ve had a busy year supplying a wonderfully diverse collection of customised private spaces.

Despite the global pandemic, the year 2020 was yet another great year with a number of projects built and many happy clients enjoying their new additional space. While larger buildings were used as secondary dwellings for family members, smaller cabins were used as home offices, teenage studios and workshops. We at YZY Kit Homes are so pleased we could help families to get their life at home much easier with the extra room added to their property.

The year 2019 was a prolific one, it saw the construction of new Scandinavian cabins, granny flats and houses spread across Australia. YZY Kit Homes were used in varying ways. The larger units were utilized as homes, independent living spaces specially designed for teenagers, guest houses or bed and breakfasts. The smaller studio-type cabins were utilized as art studios, home offices, music rooms, pool houses and sheds.

Looking back at 2018, it’s been yet another amazing year with many Scandinavian cabins, granny flats and even homes built across Australia. Use of YZY Kit Homes was very diverse.
